Dawat-e-Islami is a global peaceful Islamic, non-political movement working to convey the message of Quran and Sunnah.

٠اÙÙÙعÙÙاÙÙÙÙÙÙÙ. Under his guidance, Dawat-e-Islami soon emerged as a global, peaceful and non-political movement of the Quran and Sunnah and is currently serving Islam in more than 105 different departments.
The Islamic message of Dawat-e-Islami has now reached over to 200 locations which includes all 194 independent countries and some of dependent territories of the world. Dawat-e-Islami has also been recognized and registered as a non-violent and peaceful Islamic movement in many countries including America, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa and Hind.

The organizational mission statement is 'I must strive to reform myself and people of the entire world'.[2]
Dawat-e-Islami particularly focuses on the character-building of people. Those affiliated with Dawat-e-Islami are encouraged on a regular basis to give up negative and undesirable traits such as lying, backbiting, jealousy, greed, deceiving and every type of improper and indecent deed. At the same time, Dawat-e-Islami encourages them to adopt admirable and desirable character traits such as truthfulness, sincerity, spirituality, good manners, sympathy for others and helping the helpless in times of troubles.

Dawat-e-Islami has physical presence in more than 63 countries and the message of this organization has reached over 190 countries of the world and has established Jamia-tul-Madina (Islamic universities) in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, South Africa, East Africa, United Kingdom, United States of America, and (Islamic Centers) in many other countries of Asia, Africa, Australia and Americas.

In addition to Jamiats, Dawat-e-Islami has also started a Islamic Schooling system as Dar-ul-Madinah, that has set an objective of improving conventional academic studies in conformity with Shariâah. It is one of over 102 departments functioning under Dawat-e-Islami, School is an International Schooling system being operated in different countries.[3]
Dawat-e-Islami has expanded to the United Kingdom, around 1995 holding its first Ijtima (weekly congregation) in Halifax. As of December 2019, it now has at least 38 properties in the United Kingdom which are used as a network of Masajid, Islamic centers, schools and/or Jamias in order to create future scholars and good Human beings for the society. Some buildings have been completed and others are being worked upon. more than 100 thousand British Muslims are in some form or the other associated with Dawat-e-Islami in UK.[4][5][6]
Dawat-e-Islami operates twelve centers in Greece and seven in Spain.[7] In 2009, a Madrassa was opened in Rotherham, England, for the education of young children and adults. In Athens, it has association with local Sufis and has established four centers.[8]
Dawat-e-Islami USA has centers in Chicago, Texas and California.
Dawat-e-Islami is also prominent in Africa with established centers in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, and Madagascar are just a few among many countries in Africa.
In Bangladesh, Dawat-e-Islami led Jamia-tul-Madina has produced scholars who are serving in United Kingdom.[9]
In 2007, retired Pakistani lieutenant generalKhalid Maqbool praised the organization for 'motivating the Muslims to do good instead of fanning hatred against any sect.'
Activities[edit]
The two most significant activities of Dawat-e-Islami are Madani Qafila (missionary travel) and Madani Inamaat (self assessment questionnaires). It likes the followers to travel for specific days to spread the message of Islam to the people. Its leadership hardly interacts with the mainstream media, though the organization own its own TV Channel known as Madani Channel. It also arranges an annual gathering of its followers in Bangladesh.[10]
In October 2002, a major Pakistani English-language newspaper reported about a 3-day public gathering in the city of Multan, Pakistan which was held by Dawat-e-Isalmi organization and was attended by hundred thousands of people from all parts of Pakistan and other counteries. Pakistan Railways had used special trains from Karachi, Hyderabad and Nawabshah to take passengers to Multan. Muhammad Ilyas Qadri, chief of Dawat-e-Islami at the first and last sessions of the gathering.[10]
Call to Righteousness[edit]
Dawat-e-Islami is organized in small units of lay preachers, who invite for weekly and annual congregations. They stress the strict and literal imitation of the life of Muhammed in all aspects of the daily routine. As missionary, the lay preacher has to act like an ideal Muslim. The 'Islamic Project' of Dawat-e-Islami is the 'Sunnaization', that is the Re-shaping and Re-construction of the daily routine and the individual markers of identity based on the examples of the Prophet and the Sahabi as portrayed in the Hadith-Literature.[11]It arranges Haftawar Ijtima (weekly gatherings on every Thursday) in cities around the world.[10]
Dawat-e-Islami held its first congregation for deaf, dumb and blind students at its central headquarters Faizan-e-Madinah. Hundreds of students between 16 and 18 years of age attended the programme.[12] and now this department has grown globally with thousands of associates.

Annual Islamic gatherings (Ijtema)[edit]
It annually organized a large congregation in Multan, Pakistan till 2008 which was discontinued keeping in view law and order situations in Pakistan for the safety of people, , for South Asia and in Birmingham for Europe.[13]In 2002, an estimated half-a-million people participated in its congregation at Multan, Pakistan.[10] The 2009 event was canceled because of security concerns. every year millions of people attend the annual congregation held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Madani Channel (An Islamic TV Channel)[edit]
A 24 /7 Satellite & IP TV channel providing educational and social guidance for humanity across the world started its operation from Karachi Pakistan in the year 2008. Programmes are broadcast in different languages, mainly in English, Urdu, Bangla and other regional languages. The Channel is carried by seven main satellites reaching out to five of the continents., and has global presence through Internet TV and IP Boxes.
Not only does the Channel cover religious, ethical and social issues, focusing upon reformation of character, but it also has economic, health, religious guidance programs.
Soon in 2019 Madani Channel is going to launch a separate TV channel for Arabic viewers and a separate TV channel for Kids.
Social Responsibility[edit]
Such examples like Massive Earthquake in 2005 in northern areas of Pakistan which caused massive casualties and damages, Dawat-e-Islami was one of the recognised organizations who served and provided relief to the affected; also we were awarded with appreciation honour by Government of Pakistan. Other than that our teams helped people of Thailand during the flood by medication and food support; although we are always ready to serve wherever Govt. institutions allow us.
Dawat-e-Islami helped displaced RDPs in Pakistan who were moved from Waziristan and Sawat Valley during War on terror operations conducted. After approvals from Govt. institutions we provided them with food, medication and other relief along temporary camp schools for their children and taught them routine manners of humanity and society along with the basics of Islam.
Currently Dawat-e-Islami Bangladesh has served the displaced people of Burma who migrated to Bangladesh. Dawat-e-Islami is providing them with food, medicine and shelters in liaison with Govt. Officials

Dar-ul-Madinah (Formal Education System)[edit]
Dar-ul-Madinah is one of the departments under the patronage of Dawat-e-Islami, a leading Islamic organization in the world. It was set up in 2011 with the only campus in Karachi. As of 2015 it has established 38 campuses in different cities of various countries with an enrolment of more than 8000 students and focused on continues growth with a nominal fee structure to accommodate low earned people, also scholarships are offered to talented deprived children who can not afford the fee. With a quality educational curriculum designed by experienced educationists keeping Sharia laws ahead, Dar-ul-Madina has its own position in educational sector.

Helping those with disabilities such as deaf & Dumb or blind etc. helping them to gain education along other opportunities to progress in their lives and be helping part of this society. Special courses are arranged for Dawat-e-Islami representatives to learn sign language so that they can cater the needs of disabled and reach out to this sector of society.
Prisoner Reform[edit]
The Representatives of this department of Dawat e Islami are tasked with the job of going into various jails/prisons and spending time with prisoners from different backgrounds, having an aim of reforming them in such a way that when they are released from prison, they can live as law-abiding citizens who will make a positive contribution to society. Dawat-e-Islami has various examples of criminals who have changed their lives and became positive citizens of society. Dawat-e-Islami also arranges courses for them, by means of which prisoners can gain basic education and living skills which helps them stay away from crime and misconduct upon release.
Madarsa-tul Madina (Religious Basic Education System)[edit]
In Madrasa tul Madina, children are taught how to read the Qurâan in Arabic, as well as foundational Islamic studies. Many[vague] children memorize the entire Quran under the guidance of this department. Currently, Madrasa tul Madina has around 24,00 branches, with approximately 115,000 boys and girls studying free of charge in these institutions.[14]
Jamia Islamic University (Religious Advance Level Education System)[edit]
Jamia-tul-Madina provides courses for students training to become Islamic scholars. These full time courses range from 5 years to 8 years of study also students are provided accommodation and food free of charge for the duration of their course of study and are not charged tuition fees. The Jamia-tul-Madina curriculum consists of Arabic Grammar, Logic, Inheritance Laws, Islamic Jurisprudence, Hadith Studies, Quran Explanation, Rhetoric, and Philosophy. Approximately 15,000 male and 12000 females students are studying in 443 branches of Jamia-tul-Madina in various countries across the world, including branches in South Africa, Bangladesh and the United Kingdom

Translation Department[edit]
Another department that provides Islamic and moral teachings to the people of different languages of the world is âThe Translation Departmentâ. This department is responsible for translating authentic Islamic books and booklets written by the founder of Dawat-e-Islami and other scholars. The number of the books and booklets translated is now in hundreds The department has translated books into approximately 36 different languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian and Hindi etc.
